There are many reasons why Victor Cruz is can be considered a leader. One reason is when his father died, he griefed for a good amount of time but said to himself that he was the man of the house now. It really takes someone strong to look at the bigger picture period, but the fact that he did it over his dads' death too is amazing. Some people can't even look at the bigger picture in a regular situation. This is one way how Victor shows his mentality strength and how to be a good leader. Another way he can be known as a reader is what happened to him on draft night. Cruz was not even selected into the draft, no teams picked him. Which is a little surprising because what he has become today. So since he wasn't drafted he worked harder then ever did before. 10 reps of 500 push ups, 10 reps of 500 sit ups, and most people would just quit football. But Cruz didn't he eventually got picked up by the Giants. This shows how Cruz can be a leader because he never gave up, and in sports you can't give up. Finally the last reason why Victor Cruz can be considered a leader because going back into his childhood he took things into his own hands. He didn't have a wealthy family they were actually quite poor, and he did't have any instructors to help him on his game. So he practiced moves and catching all by himself and did all the work himself. To take things in your own hands especially at a young age shows leadership.
In conclusion Victor Cruz shows what it takes to be a good leader. He cares about himself and the people around him, and he puts the people around him before himself. That takes a strong person, instead of seeing how many catches he had and how many yards, he's glad that the team got the win and not the loss. He takes matters into his own hands in the toughest times when other people don't want to. This is why Victor Cruz is a good example for a role model.
